It has come down to this...
After a total of ten busy weeks, it has come time to bid adieu to this little project of mine.
This project has taught me a lot as a student. Communications is something I never imagined I'd venture into; as a designer, I've come to realize the importance of understanding Communications as a whole. It isn't just the task to make things look pretty – how does a message communicate with design?
Over the weekend, I met up with a client I have been working with for a freelance project and we were discussing this idea of the meaning of Communications and who it is important. As human beings we are driven on messages. Messages can say more if they are represented visually (its like that saying "a picture is worth a thousand words.") We've become driven more with visually today that we can agree our comprehension levels are understood more if there is something we can visually interact with. It is why we love technology, social media, digital arts, and so forth.
I've come to appreciate blogging more as a result of this project, and it is a direction I would like to practice my skills more in. I enjoy the interactivity of visual content included in a blog - there is more to the experience than just reading words on a screen. Throwing "memes" or "gif" images into a post has been the best part, because us younger folks love this trend of connecting pop culture references to real life situations.
Well, there is nothing more I can say. It is time to give a wave to this little project, and sing a little song while I'm at it.
(Yes, I had to do it!)
WAIT! ONE LAST THING!
As I have mentioned, I am hoping to practice more with blogging. I just recently started up a small blog after I've had friends and family come up to me asking about a new sport I am training in. It's called Armored Combat. Yes, that is medieval fighting – swords, axes, metal armor! Sadly, no dragons. I figured this blog would be a good starting point to tidying my writing skills and work on convergence journalism.

Please feel free to check it out if you are ever bored or ever want to know what the heck armored combat is. I promise you, you won't be disappointed. ;)
